Science Fair TriFold Worries?

Scrapbooking AND rubber stamping supplies to the rescue!  

My 7th grade daughter is participating in The Classical Academy Science fair this year.  ALL 7th graders MUST participate.  They are pretty much doing high school work in seventh grade.  My husband, who is an Electrical Engineer and former winner of many science fairs, helped a ton.  

I, who have never been in a science faira, helped where I could.  However, when it came to putting the trifold together, I was ready.  Sara picked out a color combination (Pink Pirrohuette, Certain Celery and Basic Black), choose a title and used the Simple Alphabet for the Big Shot to make it.  It is going to look so GREAT!  I'll show you some pictures soon.  We're still putting it together.  She's going to do some rubber stamping with her FINGERS because her project is about fingerprinting.

Am I a feeling a little bit selfish about sharing my hoard?  Yep.  Would I do it again?  You betcha!  Sara worked hard on her project and deserves the very best.  Stampin' Up! has the highest quality scrapbooking and rubber stamping supplies.  This company stands behind its product 100%.  I know Sara will be proud of her work.

Hello Occasions Mini!!

 

Oh wow, oh wow! Stampin' Up! has really outdone itself.  You know, I've been doing this business 6 years now and I thought I might be getting bored.  I mean, how many flower stamps can one have?  I have plenty of stuff to keep me going for years.  HOWEVER, I think I wouldn't mind having everything in this entire mini!  There are brand new product lines, twists on old favorites and cuteness galore!  

My favorite is the Attic Boutique Suite.  I am definitely not a fru-fru, vintage kind of gal.  I do like clean and simple, but this product line is drop dead gorgeous!

The new Big Shot stuff is AMAZING!  I got most of it and am kicking myself for not getting all of it.  I know, I know, I can get it still, but I am running a business and I need to think like a business woman and not a Rubber Stamp Addict!

Scrapping: Big Bold Cupcakes Scrapbook Layout

The Big Bold Cupcakes Big Shot dies are so fun and so useful for any scrapping you want to do.  You can use them for birthday layouts and kid layouts.  This is your last day to get ANY retiring accessories or stamps.  

Here’s the list.  You can see everything left.

I want to tell you a little bit about this layout.  Is it the best layout I’ve ever made?  No.  Is it the best layout you’ve ever seen?  No.  However, I still love how it.  

Want to know why?  

1.  I loved looking at these pictures and remembering how cute my little girl was.

2.  I had fun making the the elements and figuring out how to tell the story.

3.  I had fun arranging the pictures.

I hope that you see the theme running through this process.  I had fun.  It isn’t perfect, it isn’t magazine worthy and it won’t win any awards.  I don’t care.  My baby girl is cute and I am remembering her at the sweet age of 2.  

You see, scrapping doesn’t have to be a big production and doesn’t have to look just so.  There are rules to follow that are helpful, but the most important part of scrapping is for you to tell your story in your way.  I will tell you right now there are a lot of famous scrappers whose layouts I don’t like at all because they are not my style.  However, I like my pages and I want to share them with you.  I hope you will share your pages with me some day.  Let me know what you think in the comment section.

Today Is Count Dracula's Birthday!

Actually, it isn't.  It's the actor who played Dracula first on Broadway and then on screen.  He looks a little frightening, doesn't he?
