We went to a friend's house for Thanksgiving.  I wanted to give her a little something for the sweet invitation.  I found this cute little arrangement but didn't like the chintzy sign with it.  So, I made my own in 10 minutes!  

 

It was fairly easy to make.  I used the Naturally Serif Letters and a retired (gasp!) leaf punch.  I also used the pretty Autumn Meadows Designer Paper from the Holiday Mini.  When anything retires from Stampin' Up! I may sell some, but mostly I keep them because they are amazing products.  I try not to show you too many retired items, but I had to show you this cute banner.  Hope you like it!

Mini Album #2

   

Isn't this cute?  One of the things you will never see on my blog is a fru fru project. While I love to look at other people's gorgeous works, I would never do them myself because I don't have that kind of creativity and TIME that it takes to make them.  I'll admit it.  If you are a layers and embellish or die kind of person, then this is not the blog for you.  I want anyone who comes here to think, "I can make that!"  You most certainly can! 

Here's a great project that I will show people at the Briargate Branch in December.  If you can't make that event, which is free by the way, you can come to a "Make Gifts on a Budget" class December 12th. It's Open House style where you can come anytime from 10-4 and make however many gifts you want with a $10 minimum.  You can make tiles, this mini album, a fun nugget box gift set and a card set.

Debossing

Love the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder.  Here's a card made with it.  Isn't it fun?  It was a great technique shown at one of the Stampin' Up! regionals.  Instead of using the raised side, I turned it around and brayered the backside so that the flowers remained white.  Fun!

Rich Razzleberry Snowflakes

This year's In Colors were a little bright for me, but I am loving this Rich Razzleberry.  It's a very beautiful and rich color.  I made this card and boy, the picture does not do it justice.  It is so soft and pretty and of course, easy.  If you follow my blog at all, you will know that ALL my projects are EASY because I do't like to fuss.  If you like to fuss, then maybe this blog isn't for you.  I want you to be able to copy a card right away (for your personal enjoyment, of course, not for selling!) and not worry about how long it will take.

So this card has very few supplies:  The gorgeous Serene Snowflake Stamp Set from the Holiday mini, Warm Wishes Stamp Set, Rich Razzleberry ink and card stock, Very Vanilla card stock, half pearls from the Pretties kit, Scalloped Edged Punch, Sponge and SNAIL adhesive.

Embossed Ornament

 I found a card similar to this in my wonderings and had to try it.  The Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impressions Folder is so amazing.  Wow  I love how it adds elegance and charm to a card.  I didn't actually stamp on this card, come to think of it.  I ran Whisper White and Real Red card stock through the textured impressions folder and punched out an ornament out of the Real Red.  I colored in the dots using our wonderful White Gel Pen.  Then I used the Big Shot with the Swirly Decorative Strip to make the little hanger for the ornament.  Sweet, simple, fun.  Want to order any of this?  Go to my website and click Shop Now.

Something Different

 

I was looking through a fun craft magazine and a saw a card I just had to try and copy.  I didn't have the exact supplies, but what I had worked.  Yay!  I used the Butterfly Die for the Big Shot and paper pierced them adding some Very Vanilla Craft ink to the edges.  I mounted those on Kraft with a Soft Suede mat and mounted all that to a Kraft Base.  To add a little shine, I used the brads from the Pretties Kit.  The sentiment comes from the Level 1 Hostess Set Of the Earth stamped in Soft Suede.  I do like this color combo.  

I have an extra Level 1 Patterned Pines Hostess set that I'm going to give away to one lucky commenter.  From now until December 1st, I'll be collecting all the comments and putting the names in a hat. I'll draw a name December 2nd.  I'll announce the name on my blog that day so make sure you comment each day check back!

Chipboard Christmas

I saw this idea in a magazine and had to try it.  I covered some chipboard with Merry Moments Designer Series Paper and ran it through the Big Shot using the Stampin' Up! Tulipe Bigz Die. I hadn't really played with it so this was fun.  I sponged the edges with Creamy Caramel and used the Texturz Plates on the Chocolate Chip Layer.  I showed this to my husband and he said, "What is it with stampers and BROWN!"  He doesn't like brown.  I think his mom made him wear it too much as a child.  :)

Our Mostly Official Christmas Card

Isn't that fun?  I made this using My Digital Studio and had 15 printed for family.  This will be the first Christmas Card we sent in a while.  Sheepish Grin.  

I sent the order in on Saturday to Stampin' Up!s Printer Vendor and the order was shipped today.  Amazing.  I didn't design this on my own.  I found a similar card somewhere else, but I really liked how simple it was.

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while.  I've had sleeping issues and when those crop up I can't think.  So, I mostly concentrated on trying to survive.  However, I am sleeping better finally.
