2.
Make the pop-up strip on the Baja Breeze inside layer – see
instructions at end.
3. Stamp the “3Rs” on Whisper White, then trim to above size,
color as desired with markers.
4. Using silver ink, stamp
small square piece of Basic Gray with snowflake; punch it out after centering it
in the 1” square punch. Opt.: attach fancy brad in center of
snowflake
5. Stamp “Relax” on small
pieces of Kiwi, punch out with scallop oval. (Opt: stamp and punch only one “Relax”)
6. Stamp “Happy Father’s
Day” on small piece of Baja, punch with small smooth oval.
7. Using scallop oval,
punch the small piece of gray, adhere the greeting on top.
8. Front of card: layer DSP on front about ¼” above
bottom edge. Layer Baja strip just
over top edge of DSP. Adhere small
strip of Gray to far left edge in center of Baja strip.
9. Assemble and line up
square metal frame, snowflake square and small plain brads, center on Baja strip
at far right leaving space for the “3R” image, punch holes for brad and attach.
10. Layer the “3R” image on
Baja, then Gray, then attach to card on left side; set aside.
11. Adhere the DSP strip to
top of card inside, about 1” below top edge.
12. Adhere “Relax” pieces at
slight angles to right and left of center, on top of DSP strip.
13. Adhere the “Happy
Father’s Day” piece to your pop-up strip.
14. Adhere the inside of
card to the outside. Put adhesive
around most of outer edges, along one side of the horizontal fold and small
piece above and below the pop-up strip.
TIP: When adhering, keep card in a fairly closed position, keep middle folds close together, then close the card and press.
TO MAKE THE POP-UP STRIP
1. Lay inside layer of the card with “mountain side” of score
line facing up on the paper cutter and perpendicular to the ruler.
2. Find the center of the piece of card stock. For this card, the center is 2 5/8” in
on either side.
3. Shift the cardstock to the right half the distance of what
you want the width of your strip to be.
For this card it will be the strip will be 3/8 wide. Therefore shift your card 3/16” to the
left and cut, then return card to center.
Then shift the card 3/16” to the right and cut again. Make each cut 2 ¼” long so start the
cut 1 1/8” above center and end 1 1/8” below the center fold.
