Neat Medallion with Scalloped Edge

Hello!  I'm so sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I have so many projects to share with you, but haven't had time to photograph them.  I will post them soon. 

How fun is this?  You can use the Scalloped Edge Punch to make the medallion.  It makes a great male card as well.  We made this at my upline's meeting.  We used the Hidden Garden Rub-Ons for the middle.  Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Kraft.  The designer paper comes from the Summer Home Simply Scrappin' Kit.  

Edited:  I didn't explain how to make the medallion because I didn't know the dimensions.  Sorry about that.  Take a 3 3/4" square piece of card stock and put it into the Scalloped Edge Punch at the guide. Then do the same thing around the other edges.  Does that make sense?  Let me know if it doesn't and I'll post pictures to explain it better.

Card Holder Season of Friendship

I made a cute fall card using Season of Friendship from the Winter Mini for our Holiday Stamp Camp.  The ladies really enjoyed making them.  However, I had a few left over so I made a cute card holder to put them in.  On of the ladies in the office where Tori (my 2.5 year old) goes to Mom's Morning Out, went above and beyond the call of duty, so I wanted to give her a gift to show my appreciation.  I think this will do nicely.  The card holder idea came from the Workshop Wow DVD that Stampin' Up! made available.  I wasn't going to get it, but am really glad I did.  There are lots of great ideas there for me to cull.  This particular project came from a demonstrator named Seijra McConkey.  I just changed the color combo and stamp sets.

  Do you like my little tire swing?  I know I talked about it last post, but I'm still thrilled that I came up with something all by my lonesome!  You see, people think that I'm creative, but I don't really come up with most projects on my own.  I use inspiration from blogs, websites, Stampin' Up!, other demos and my customers.  It's not hard to be a demonstrator!  Want to try?  Send me an email and we'll set up a time to chat about it!

Stamp Camp Project

Not the best picture, but I was excited to show you this card.  I really like the Seasons of Friendship set.  I think this will be a very  versatile set that will stay in my collection for many years.  I thought the Baby Wipe Technique would work very well for this card.  I used the Big Shot Top Note Bigz Die because I love it.  

  I did have trouble figuring out how to add the sentiment.  First, I had it in a rectangle and mounted on Pumpkin Pie.  That didn't look good so I tried it on Ruby Red.  Nope.  I did a little distressing on the Ruby Red card stock and stamped the Sanded Background onto it.  That helped.  So, I tried various tags.  I don't know when I thought of it, but the idea of a tire swing came to me and voila, my card!

Sewing and the Big Shot

I meant to post this a while ago, but I have met people that are creative through sewing.  So, I thought these cute projects would interest them.  The embellishments on the shorts, shirt and bag are made using the Big Shot.  Next week I hope to show you a banner I'll make with the Big Shot.  I love how versatile this machine is.  It can be used with fashion, all manner of paper crafting and home decor.  This really is a wonderful tool.  I'd love for you to play with it either at my home studio or at your workshop.  You will have fun with it!  Contact me today to book your workshop!

Some More Eastern Blooms

This is not my original idea.  I got it from a very talented stamper on the splitcoaststampers website, but I don't know who she is.  I loved the simple, clean lines of this card so I wanted to make it at a workshop.  I don't think I copied her exactly, but I kept the layout and color combo while changing some of the sets.  Anyway, one of the great things about stamping is that you can make your creations your own even while you are copying.  So many times at a workshop, I'l have guests who take the supplies I give them and make something very different, but still beautiful.  I love how that works.  

My mother-in-law is a bona-fide artist with a BA in Fine Arts and sells her work in Canada.  She came to my first workshop with me and spent the night saying, "You can draw that."  Actually, no, I couldn't.  I cannot draw.  I have always loved creative things, but am not in and of myself artistic.  So, when rubber stamping came along, I was absolutely floored.  I couldn't believe the stuff that I could make.  So, I am here to show you what YOU can make.  Let's cultivate your creativity together!

Supplies:  Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White cs.  Pink Pirouette ink.  Regal Rose and Mellow Moss Stampin' Write Markers.

Owl Treat Bag

Okay, I'm having technical difficulties with my pictures, so I'm trying something new.  If you still can't see the whole image let me know.  

This cute Owl treat bag was one of the projects the Big Shot Club members made. Just like Frankie, I used the Top Note Bigz Die, the 1 1/4" and 3/4" circle punches, White Gel Pen and used the Flower Punch to make the nose.  You can layer the Top Note by cutting on the perforated line which I did with the Close to Cocoa paper.  Only Orange is the mat behind the Close to Cocoa paper.  Is this cute or what?

Frankenstein!

Okay.  I'm not a big Halloween fan.  I know some of you LOVE Halloween and some of you HATE it.  I'm not a fan, but I couldn't resist making Frankie.  Isn't he so cute?  I made him using the Top Note Bigz Die for the Big Shot.  I also used  1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punches and the Word Window punch to make his bolts.  The White Gel Pen brought a twinkle to his eyes.  I shaded his eyebrows with Gable Green and made his mouth and scars with the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.  I never thought I would use the Happy Halloween stamp from the All Holidays stamp set, but looky here!  Never say never!  The color combo is Gable Green, Lovely Lilac, Whisper White, Basic Black and Basic Gray.  

I can't believe how many ways you can use the Top Note.  I'll show you what the Big Shot Club made yesterday in another post.
