Hi there. This will be a quick, but hopefully helpful. As you know, first class postage went up by $0.01 last week. I really like the forever stamp so I don't have to buy those pesky $0.01 or $0.02 stamps. Anyway, sometimes the cards I send through the mail do not go through unscathed. Which is, of course, a shame since I work hard on those. In my wonderings on the information-packed web, I found that if I put a thin slice of cardboard, chipboard and/or card stock to cover the metal embellishments, the piece of mail goes through just fine. If you are really worried, you can have the post office hand cancel it, but it might cost a little more.
If you are interested in the History of Postage, this is a pretty cool site. http://www.akdart.com/postrate.html
On another note, it looks like Spring has finally come to stay here in Colorado Springs. In fact, it's going to rather warm!
Soooo, happy day to you all.
Happy Stampin'
Linda:)
