Typically, after the generous season of Christmas, a lot of charities see a downward slump in giving. Our Food Pantry has been especially depleted during the holiday season so a couple of my friends (and downline!) are going to see what we can do to fill it. We are hosting a Five Cards to Fill the Food Pantry Day at our church, Fellowship Bible Church in Colorado Springs. We have designed 5 cards for everyone who comes to make. Their cost is to bring several items for the food pantry or make a monetary donation to the Love Fund. The Love Fund is specifically set aside for people who need monetary assistance and in no way goes to support the facilities of the church. We're going to hold this event on Feb. 16th, from 1-3 pm. So, if you are in the area or are going to visit, this event open to the public, but it will cost a couple of cans of food, toiletries, or any dried food to come and stamp with us! Please email me for more info. If you can't come, but want to donate to the Fellowship Bible Church Love Fund, make checks payable Fellowship Bible Church and mark Love Fund on the memo line. The address is 5580 N Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80918-3512. Our church is located in an area where people seem to have so many needs and we are so thankful and honored to be able to help them. If you decide to donate, I will make the cards for you and send them to you and just have you pay shipping and handling (probably $3 or less). If you already attend a church that has something like a Love Fund, then by all means, donate locally! If you do, and I'll go by the honor system here), I will also send you the cards. Today is a good day to practice acts of random kindness!
